Ever wonder how Circle Center came to be? We were founded in 1976 by five Richmond Fan District Churches – Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, First English Lutheran Church, Grace Covenant Presbyterian, St. James’s Episcopal and St. John’s United Church of Christ. Founded to provide support to older adults in the Fan neighborhood, the Center opened its doors with five participants and two employees. Today we have 81 participants from across metro Richmond and 28 employees! We've come a long way.
The Stuart Circle Parish Council, comprised of those five founding churches, continues to do so much good for RVA, including continuing to support our Center. In fact, we want to thank Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and St. James's Episcopal Church for their recent financial gifts. You--both individuals and organizations like these five churches--are the heartbeat of our mission. We thank all of you who are helping us bring joy to our older neighbors and peace of mind to their caregivers. |
