A Little Math, Greater Impact

Please give differently, not necessarily more, this year. Did I just say that?

I know, I know, sounds odd given how much we at Circle Center rely on the community's financial support to deliver our person-centered brand of adult day care. But, did you know by dividing your gift--whatever the amount--by 12 it becomes a monthly recurring gift and for us, that is a BIG deal!

How so? 

Genevieve Shaker, associate professor of philanthropic studies at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy said it best, “Recurring giving can provide a predictable and reliable source of income for a nonprofit."

I like to say recurring gifts are the difference between thriving and merely surviving. Knowing what financial support we can count on month to month, means we can strategize and plan to meet the fast-growing demand for long term care in our community. 

Next time you give to Circle Center, be it online or through the mail, please check the box next to "Make this a recurring gift" for even greater impact. Can you give more? Sure, but how you give is equally important to our mission.

A New Caregiver Support Group -- Open to All

Monthly support groups are among the many ways we help family caregivers. Led by our Director of Social Work, often with guest speakers, these groups are an opportunity for caregivers to gain advice and to share their successes and struggles with one another.

For a while now, we have been hosting two virtual Family Caregiver Support Groups each month, both on Thursday evenings. We're pleased to announce that on Thursday, April 27th, we will begin hosting an afternoon Family Caregiver Support Group from 2:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. at our 4900 West Marshall Street location. This group will meet in-person.

If you have a loved one enrolled at Circle Center, they will continue to enjoy the day's activities while you participate in the Caregiver Support Group. All of our support groups are open to the community-at-large, as well.
