An Antidote to Loneliness, by Heather Turbyne-Pollard, CEO

CNN published a story today about the Surgeon General's framework for tackling loneliness in the United States. At Circle Center, we are especially happy to see this kind of focus.

Over the past few years, loneliness and social isolation, and their impact on older adults in particular, have gotten a lot of press. COVID contributed to many of us experiencing periods of loneliness. For more and more older adults, social isolation is chronic. 

Adult day programs like Circle Center are places where older adults, like Dianettea and Lula, can spend time together, share their talents and life experiences with one another, and continue to learn and grow.

We encourage you to visit us and see the joy and friendships that happen. We are an antidote for loneliness and one we hope more and more older adults can enjoy.
