Mural Unveiled!

It may have been drizzling last Wednesday, but the mood at Circle Center was bright and sunny as we officially unveiled our newest mural! Called "Age and Grace', the mural features four Circle Center participants in beautiful Renaissance attire. Artist Nico Cathcart and photographer Caroline Shelnut collaborated to bring this 75'x18' work of art to life. The ceremony included remarks by members of our board, a conversation between the artists and our CEO, and Nico officially signing the mural.

The mural was part of the support we received from Altria that began on November 1st with a volunteer day. Nearly 100 volunteers spruced up our outdoor spaces and painted the base coat for this mural. We're grateful to Altria and to the Community Foundation who coordinated the day. Nico then spent nearly three weeks bringing the likenesses of our own Mike, Elizabeth, Banoo, and Winston to life.

We hope you'll come see it, and visit often. Caroline said it best when she said, "Whenever I photograph older adults, I want them to see themselves the way that I see them, as wonderful, valuable and beautiful human beings.”

We hope, when you see the mural, you'll feel that way, too.

'Tis the Season...

As many of you know, half of our participants receive Medicaid and sadly, Medicaid only covers 66% of the costs of the program. That means we rely on our supporters to "bridge the gap"  which amounts to $36 per day per person.

These difficult economic times are putting added pressure

Give today

on families trying to juggle full-time caregiving, work, and other responsibilities. It's a tough time to ask for money, but we must. Every bit of your support is fuel for the joy and peace of mind we bring to the individuals and families we serve.

If giving is in your yearend plans, we hope you'll consider Circle Center. We've been here for older adults and their caregivers for 46 years and we intend to be here for at least another 46! Thank you in advance for your yearend support.

We hope your holidays are

as happy as our days are at

Circle Center!

We are grateful for you and 2022

and look forward to a joyous 2023!

Our supporters make this possible - thank you!

"Your service allowed my brother--my mother's caregiver--to work and take a break from full time caregiving and was greatly appreciated."
