Will Circle Center Distribute the Vaccine?

Is Circle Center Adult Day Services a part of the priority vaccine allocation at this time?

At this time, only some aging service settings are recommended for top priority vaccine allocation.  People receiving services through adult day services providers, hospice agencies, PACE organizations and non-home health personal care providers are not included in the ACIP recommendation, nor are workers in these settings.

LeadingAge, a national advocacy group of which Circle Center Adult Day Services, is a member, has continually asserted that all aging services providers must have priority access to vaccines for both their staff and the older adults they serve.  Circle Center supports that position as well and along with Leading Age, will continue to advocate for including the full aging services continuum as vaccines become available.

The coming weeks will likely bring several developments on COVID-19 and vaccinations and Circle Center will continue to keep families and those we serve informed along the way.

What are your hours?

Based on center modifications during the COVID-19 Pandemic, our current hours are Monday – Friday 8 am – 4 pm.

What happens when the Center is closed but we are scheduled to attend?

The Center is typically closed for 7 holidays during the calendar year. We will communicate those dates to families during the intake process, as well as through our regular communications to families and caregivers throughout the year, so that you may plan accordingly. As the Center is closed, you are not responsible for payment. Similarly, if the Center needs to unexpectedly close for any day for inclement weather, etc., you will not be charged.

If your loved one is scheduled to attend on a day that the Center is closed and you would like for them to attend an alternate day that week, please contact Jay to see if that is possible. Rescheduled participants will pay the established drop in rate for that day.

*While we do not anticipate this being necessary – if the Center needs to unexpectedly close due to a Covid exposure – we will communicate that information to current families as soon as we are aware. If the Center is closed you are not responsible for payment.

What do I do if my loved one is feeling sick?

If your loved one is experiencing any illness or exhibiting any Covid symptoms, please call the Center and ask to speak with the Nurse regarding the status of your loved and one to make a plan about next steps.

Participants are financially responsible for the days they do not attend the Center due to illness.
